About The Citadel Inc.

Proverbs 18:10 says the "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." This is the concept on which The Citadel Inc. began in 2015. After being encouraged by friends with whom they had met with many times to pray together, Dr. Floyd Antonio and his wife Rosalie Antonio began hosting a weekly Prayer, Bible Study and Worship at their apartment in Coral Springs, Florida. A year later, meetings moved to their house in Margate, FLorida. It started with a small group of ecumenical, non-denominational worshipers from various churches who joined in with the vision to expand and positively impact the wider community with the glorious gospel of our Lord.

Under the suggestion of one of our founding members, Erica Hanson, we started a weekly mission fund collections which multiplied enough to assist in missions to Vacation Bible schools in Belize, missions to Uganda for soul winning conferences, and supplying shoes for Ugandan children to walk to the water wells and school. International assistance also included shipment of well needed items sent to Guys Hill Primary school in Jamaica as well as to the Mt. Nebo Baptist Circuit of Churches in cooporation with the Rev. Dr. Orlanzo Wright and Evangelist Elvia Wright and The Food For The Poor organizaton.

 

The Citadel Inc. is actively assisting needy families in South Florida with clothing, food, Thanksgiving baskets for the sick and shut in, and with temporary housing assistance when able.  We have hosted Back To School giveaways for needy families, and participate in purchasing requested items for the homeless at the Broward Partnership Pompano Beach Center -Christmas Wish Tree, as well as dropping off toiletries and snacks for the shelter occupants. The Citadel has partnered with Water For The Homeless and W.O.R.T.H ministries in Broward County to deliver water and permitted food items to the homeless on the streets.

 

The Citadel Inc. also hosts International Leadership conferences which were initially spearheaded by Co-Founder, Erica Hanson. Annual Events include partnering with Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant in Hollywood, FL to provide delicious cooked meals for families during Thanksgiving season. We aso host fund raising concerts and other events to assist in funding the work of the ministry.

The Citadel Inc. continues to meet every Tuesday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm for Bible study, Prayer and Praise, and these sessions have now been open to those who are not able to make it to the physical meeting, but can join in via Zoom. There is a Sunday Morning Worship service at 11:00 am in our sanctuary, and this service is also available for viewing on the various social media platforms.

• Our foci are: Training Leaders, teaching biblical principles, giving assistance to those who are most in need, cultivating purpose and confidence in young people through music lessons, public spreaking and community service and connecting with other local agencies to assist our community with meeting their needs.

• We encourage a relationship with Jehovah God through his son Jesus the Christ.

• We encourage Kingdom citizens from other churches to take from The Citadel Inc. and to go build their organizations and assist in their neighborhoods. Our Board and Leadership Committee include Red Cross Volunteers, Pastors, and Founders of other impactful community service organizations. We work together to bring spiritual, emotional and physical upliftment to any of our surrounding Palm Beach, Broward and Dade County residents no matter what race, or religion.

• We strongly encourage help for the weak and needy as we impart to them the glorious message of the Gospel of Love and Hope through Jesus Christ.
